Terms of Use
Last updated: October 7, 2026 · Privacy Policy
These terms apply to everyone who uses Lok3D (the website, the 3D editor and the gallery). By using Lok3D, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
1. The service
Lok3D is a free, browser-based 3D editor for making 3D-printable models. It is run by Lok3D.
You can use the editor without an account. With a free account, your projects are kept in your account and you can publish models to the public gallery.
2. Without an account and with an account
- Without an account: a project saved online is kept for 48 hours after it is created. After that, its link stops working and the project is deleted. To keep it, create an account or download the file (File → Download project).
- With an account: projects are kept while the account is active. Projects with no access at all for 365 days may be removed.
- To create an account, you confirm your email with a code (PIN). You are responsible for keeping your password secret and for anything done with your account.
- Accounts are for people aged 13 or older. Users under 18 must have permission from a parent or guardian.
3. Your projects and your content
The projects and models you create are yours. You only give us the permission needed to store, process and show that content to you and to whoever has the link, and to make the service work (for example, to create thumbnails and files to download).
You confirm that you have the right to use everything you upload (images, text, logos, imported meshes) and that it does not infringe anyone else's rights.
4. Project links
Each project has a secret link. Anyone with the edit link can open and change the project; anyone with the view-only link can open it and make a copy. Share carefully: we cannot control who you share a link with.
5. Public gallery
When you publish to the gallery, you send a copy of the model (image, project and 3MF file), which becomes public and can be found by search engines. You choose the license (Creative Commons) that applies to people who download it.
We may hide or remove from the gallery, without notice, models that are reported or that break these terms. You can remove your own model from the gallery at any time.
6. What is not allowed
- Illegal, hateful, violent or sexually explicit content, or content involving minors.
- Firearms, firearm parts and accessories, or any item whose manufacture is prohibited by law.
- Content that infringes copyrights, trademarks or other third-party rights.
- Trying to access other people's projects or accounts, disrupting the website, uploading malware, or using bots to create projects, accounts or posts in bulk.
7. Printing and using parts
Dimensions, clearances, threads and connectors are designed for common 3D printers, but results depend on your printer, material and settings. Test before relying on them.
Do not use parts made with Lok3D where a failure could cause injury, damage or health risks (for example load-bearing parts, medical use, contact with food or fire) unless you have verified yourself that they are suitable. Using printed parts is your responsibility.
8. Availability
Lok3D is provided "as is". We work to keep it running well, but we do not guarantee it will always be available, error-free, or that no data will ever be lost. Keep a copy of important projects (File → Download project).
We may change, add or remove features at any time.
9. Closing an account
You can close your account at any time in My account. The account and its projects are deactivated and your models leave the gallery; see the Privacy Policy for what is kept and how to request permanent deletion.
We may block accounts and remove content that break these terms or the law.
10. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect losses, lost profits, loss of data, or damage caused by using printed parts. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer under the law.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date of the last update is shown at the top of this page. For important changes, we will give notice on the website or by email to account holders. Continuing to use Lok3D after a change means you accept the new version.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Brazil. If you are a consumer, you may bring claims in the courts of your place of residence, as the law guarantees.
