About the pulley generator

Pulleys and wheels are essential in robotics, models, clotheslines, gates and small machines. This generator makes pulleys with a V groove (for round belts or cord), a round groove for an O-ring (which becomes a tire) or flat wheels with side flanges.

The bore can be round or D-shaped, for motor shafts with a flat, and the optional hub has a radial hole for an M3 set screw.

What you can adjust

Three profiles

V groove, O-ring groove or flat with flanges.

D-shaped bore

For motor shafts with a flat (e.g. 5 mm D).

Hub with set screw

A hole for an M3 screw that locks onto the shaft.

Free sizing

Diameter 10 to 150 mm, width 4 to 40 mm.

Ideas for use

How it works

  1. Choose the type, diameter and shaft bore.
  2. Click "Create in the editor": the pulley opens ready.
  3. Print it flat, with the hub up.

FAQ

The bore is too tight on the shaft.

Printed holes shrink a little. Increase the bore by 0.2 to 0.3 mm.

Does it work with GT2 belts?

No: this generator makes smooth grooves (V, round). For GT2, use a metal pulley or a dedicated toothed model.

Is it free?

Yes. The maker and the editor are free and run in your browser. Without an account, the project is kept for 48 hours; with a free account, it is kept in your account.

Which format do I download?

3MF (recommended: keeps colors and opens directly in Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer and Creality Print), STL or OBJ, always in millimeters.
