About the wall hook generator
A hook printed upright breaks easily, because the layers line up with the load. This generator draws the hook as a J profile and lays it on its side on the bed: the layers follow the curve, so the hook holds much more weight.
The holes go through the back plate with a countersink (the screw head sits flush), and a 45° gusset in the inner corner removes the weak spot. Adjust the reach, tip height and width for coats, towels, bags, tools or hoses.

- More walls make the hook stronger than more infill.
- For heavy loads, increase the thickness to 7–8 mm and the width.
- In bathrooms, prefer PETG: PLA softens over time in the heat.
FAQ
How much weight does it hold?
It depends on material and size. In PETG, 5 mm thick, 20 mm wide and with 4 perimeters, a hook holds several kilograms easily.
Why print it on its side?
Upright, the layers are parallel to the wall and the hook splits between them. On its side, the load runs along the plastic lines, which are much stronger.
Can I mount it without drilling?
Choose "no holes" and use strong double-sided tape for light loads.
