Generate a plate with threaded holes of different clearances and a printed bolt to test them. Find the right clearance for M6 to M12 threads. Free.
Printed threads work very well with the right clearance. Too little binds; too much leaves the bolt loose. This test prints a plate with threaded holes, each with a different clearance, and a bolt to try them.
After printing, screw the bolt into each hole: the one that turns smoothly without wobble gives the value to use for threads in the editor and in the screw-top jar.
